On the theme of all the 1,000th post?? (No) Prize up for grabs threads, lets try to guess when serfty makes his 1,000th post. Some would say a long way to go but let's see if we can make it a good clean guessing contest.

Serfty has offered a mystery prize. I can't tell you what it is because it is a mystery.

Dates & Times are AEST (non daylight saving time) as that is more sensible. Guessing closes when serfty reaches 950 posts.

I hadn't realised how close Serfty was behind me. If I may have a punt on this, I would suggest that Serft will make the 1000 before me!

You two have been neck and neck for a while now.

Good luck to both of you as you are both valuable members of AFF.

Hmmm... I dare say my posting rate has increased of late, but, yes I did not realise where I was at.

Still, I am only a little over ¾ of the way there, and that in 15 months.

A long way to go...

OK, I'll put up a (mystery) prize for the best prediction. 8)

Oh heck, this puts the pressure on me to dream up a mystery prize for whoever guesses when I get to 1000 as well. I'll keep my eyes open on the planes for suitable schwag that I can sneak off.

serfty was ahead of me for a while. Must have slowed down of late.

I think straitman summed up the position quite succinctly. It was a highly accurate comment.

I disagree again.

Maybe both slowed down but one slowed down more than the other.

Or both picked up the pace but one picked up the pace more than the other.

So I don't think it was just a choice of "one slowing down" or "one picking up the pace".

I am sure there are a few more combinations but I am too tired to think of any.

I'm afraid I have to argue that one of Straitman's two choices were correct. If I had time, and could be bothered, I'd work out which.
