Seats on Redemption Flights

I’ve noticed while booking redemption flights , bring able to pick a seat is no longer available on Jetstar flights? Is it me missing something or another change (charge?). Flying recently an extra $10 asked for after being allocated a centre seat. On a three hour flight , I paid.
 
Here's what I see when I book a JetStar award using QF points:

As you can see from the chart what you're entitled to depends on the redemption made. If it's an Economy Classic award, which I reckon is your best value, you'll see that bags are included, however seat selection is not (for that you would need to make an award booking with a MAX fare which for more than 5 times the cost of a classic award makes little sense.
