Scams like these

I tried posting this from my Ipad earlier (the app still !!!! doesn't work properly)
Anyway, I received an email Purporting to be from Nespresso, offering me the opportunity to enter a competition. It all looked very Kosher except for two things . 1 This : Act quickly the time to apply is almost due ! and 2. I am already a Nespresso club member, so where was my Membership number that always accompanies such correspondence?
i checked with the good folk at Nespresso, sure enough its a scam.
these scammers are getting very good at this.
I am currently blocking emails I know to be fake, and yet they seem to keep coming through, this is getting tedious

Gee I must be using a lot of electricity at my place, starting to get worried the cops might think I have some sort of drug lab set up.
On Wednesday I received a bill for $508.50 and the day before that $565.98. Both bills from AGL. I don't even even have an account with AGL!
Must admit that the emails look reasonably authentic so I wonder how many people click the link to see the details?

A friend lost his laptop to an AGL account 2 weeks ago by simply clicking the link. You warn them but the emails look so authentic these days. Cost him a few sheckles for an IT guy to fix it up.

....bills from AGL. I don't even even have an account with AGL!...

My wife got an email from "AGL" last week (we have no AGL account). She was saved by two small things - (1) the email was detected as spam, and (2) the email was in Italian!! I still cannot figure that out???

Ah, thanks but no thanks, regardless of whether a scam, I don't want to be on your call list. He hung up as soon as I said I'd be unavailable as will be in MEL (a little lie)...

So this 03 8373 4714 number keeps ringing me..... Note 3 times a day. Answered once and no response to hello.... Just disconnects.
Google says spam calling via a machine. Anyone any more info on this? Android phone does not have number blocking.....

You have left off the prefix 02, 03, required to research.

edit: (03) 8373 4714 Appears to be from a business wanting you to change energy provider.

Quite good, but no thanks, "From" isn't a paypal address, hover over the links and it points to a very suspect site, my name was correct which is a worry, the "what u can" is a bit of a giveaway though.

Lots of love this morning after less than 3-4 scams a day going straight to the scam bucket - 13 this morning.

Might be interesting to create a Google doc (any volunteers?) where just the component paste the @ (for senders' addresses) is listed.

So we create a list that we all can black list rather than only once you personally receive it. Might even save a few PCs/people from being scammed to boot in addition to the time savings for all.

Thoughts?

FYI

Received an SMS today from Latitude Financial Web dot net to say I had an overdue account. Clicking on the legit looking URL took me to a login page on my phone. I ditched that and loaded the page on my PC. Very genuine looking but it still seemed weird as the only GE/Latitude card I had (28 Degrees) had never been activated.

So I called the 1300 number on my credit card and it got a bit weirder. Navigating the automated system eventuated in a recorded message saying my overdue balance of $0.0 was due next Wednesday. Finally got to actually speak with someone who confirmed it was a phishing site and Latitude were aware of it.

I received a strange text to my phone on Saturday. It was from someone called Malcolm urging me not to vote for someone else who might actually represent me. Obviously a scam so I binned it.

Talking of SMS scams, I was watching BBC Click and in China their are scammers that drive around with mini mobile phone cell base stations that intercept mobile phone signals. With these base stations they can send you sms messages.
