Scams like these

Looks like our hard working scammer after the 2 Budget speeches.
Was surprised to see in my inbox I have mail from ((my.gov.au)), with (([email protected])) as sender.
Looks so legit.
Went into my own mygov website via log in, not using link in email, and no new mail there.
Our African or Indian Mugus must be really keen on our Budget 2019 payout, what ever amount it might be.
Don't know what the gist of the email was, as I didn't open it, and plan to delete it soonish.

A new one for me, a good laugh was had with their poor grammar:

we got the notice on our desk this morning from the inspector General of head internet security (Gen. Daniel Doherty) You are asked to stop all contact you have been in so far with any of those so called spammers or else your case file will be stamped as money laundry.

You are advised to get back to us with all that have been sent to you by those spammers to hasten our investigation on who is behind all this and who have been collecting your hard earned income...

Note: you are asked to get back as soon as possible...or we will have to inform the local police in your area. and your case will be worst if you don't cooperate with us to get those spammers red handed.

That is why we email you to know more details first because that is the easiest way to reach our good citizen's, so you are to provide all the necessary details and we shall inform you if truly there is any consignment for you at all, our duty is to protect our entire citizen's and keep them away from any harm or what so ever damage they are into.

You are advised to get back to us as soon as possible or your name will be listed among those to be persecuted by the act of money laundry.

You are warned.

Nb, we received email this morning from Dr. Stefan Mittermair, He told us that you authorize him to claim your ATM card in your favour that you have been in the hospital for weeks, therefore he forwarded his contact details as to divert your ATM card fund.
This is very urgent and important you contact the above mentioned courier company for clarifications.

What a strange email account to have for my gov.
 
The latest trend is SPAM email seems to involve a "position" as part of the name, eg:
Amanda Draper Secretary, Claude Verslues Delivery Agent, Colin Welsh Assistant, Marie Parker Personal Assistant, Elicia Deniro Personal Manager, Kenneth Rinaldi Support, Jasper Shutre Team

Must think it adds credibility - it doesn't.
 
Received a phone call from the ATO this morning about a Final Reminder for information regarding someone reporting me for committing fraud.

I heard Final Reminder twice and hung up after about 10-15 seconds. Not a very convincing scam. Not sure how people fall for this scam.

I am receiving the Australian newspaper daily insisting that Scott Morrison is still the prime minister. I think I am in heaven for the next 3 years but then again the alternative was unelectable. Go figure ! With so much bs,why did shifty waste his time for years and years and learn nothing ? Maybe he was selling the biggest scam of all and we didn't fall for it !
