Hey guys,

Just wondering who I should be transferring my points too.

I travel RTW Business class every year with Qantas/One world which costs me 280k points plus pay taxes etc.

Does anyone know if Kris Flyer is cheaper? Do you then fly on partner airlines for the USA Australia leg?

Can I use velocity points to book with their partner airlines like emirates? do they have a RTW points fee like Qantas does?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

I'm not sure whether KF is cheaper or not, but you could fly either United to USA or Air NZ (via AKL).

Velocity doesn't currently have a ATW option as far as I know, although it's something that may be offered shortly through the Virgin group.... redeeming velocity points on non Virgin carriers seems to be quite expensive currently.

Here is some information about KrisFlyer Star Alliance Round the World awards.

Circle the globe and visit up to seven cities of your choice for just 180,000 KrisFlyer miles in Economy Class, 240,000 KrisFlyer miles in Business Class and 360,000 KrisFlyer miles in First Class.
Business Class and First Class RTW awards look to be good value compared to Qantas but you still need to pay taxes and surcharges with Kris Flyer.
