It must be said that Steve Jobs work had a profound effect on many who travel for work and pleasure, his pioneering work and efforts in the IT field have made my commuting hours much more pleasant than they might have been. I will miss your work Steve, even if I am a devotee of the x86 world as a former Intel employee - RIP, and a big thank you!

Apple - Remembering Steve Jobs

Very sad indeed..

He has certainly changed the face of personal computing, and the use of the letter "i"!

I remember around 96 when apple were on the verge of going broke and Steve came back into the fold.. Amazing turnaround and shows what a visionary he was.

I was fortunate enough to work for Apple in 2nd half of 80s.
Even though Steve had left by then his philosophy had been indelibly stamped on the company, and it was just a great place to be.
From his return in 97 Apple has gone from strength to strength to strength

A true visionary and will be sadly missed

Very sad day for the technology industry indeed.

It seems to be that twitter is over capacity as a result of his death, I can't get on.

RIP Steve.

Every day Steve's design genius is in front of millions of people in the form of products that people love. It's an extraordinary legacy. We may not see anyone like him again in our lifetimes. RIP Steve.

My very first computer was an Apple II Europlus purchased in December 1981. It had 48KB of RAM, plus a 16KB expansion card, and a single-sided 5.25' floppy drive for storage. It served me well through my university years including my Engineering thesis of "Remote digital control of audio signals" where the humble Apple II was used for the prototype controller. Thanks Steve and Apple for changing my life forever.

Steve was a visionary that made some game changing products. The world was changed by his presence.

R.I.P.

#iSad.

I think President Obama summed up Steve Jobs so well today...
"that Jobs was brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it".
RIP

One of the IT genius of our times has been taken from us.

His legacy will live on long after he is gone.

We have lost one of the architects of modern times.

RIP Steve Jobs

Sad to see someone go so young with so much they could still have contributed.

I only came on board to Apple in around 2005 with my purchase of an iPod mini (quickly replaced by a nano) and from then onwards the simplistic integration have contributed o a great user experience. There is a commonality and theme to all of it - sometimes it might not be the fastest or the best but it really all just works.
