RewardPay Alternatives

yes I still use it for groceries - but not sure I'm getting $200 value (fee), then I can use it for travel, but can't combine with the $400 credit for the Explorer, so it's a bit messy and still uncertain on value here of PE anymore.
Agreed I didn't see the value. Cancelled both and got the charge card

2.25pt/$ so 1.125 FF points/$. Less than the PE but not enough for me to worry about
thanks @daft009 so did I get this right? You pay a $1450 fee (travel credit $450) to collect at 2.25:1, that outweighs say the Explorer at 2:1 for a $400 fee (travel credit $400), worth the $1050 difference?

Another $400 credit when you get the free reserve card with the charge card.
Lots of extra perks, hotel status, lounge access etc. Worth it for me

apart from EBP any other alternatives that don't require an ABN to signup?

i'd like to keep personal & business separate

As daft009 said, there is so much more re the perks of the charge card relative to the explorer - if you do a search, there are some threads focused on the benefits

You can always use your businesses ABN to signup as a sole user and then use your own private card to make payments. This way your business doesn't see what payments you're making. I'm sort of doing this with the platform we use

my gosh that EBP is [lost for words] . they dress this up to look cool for millenials that dont/cant realise that they could do this themselves with 3 tools.

- a calculator
- direct debit
- seperate bank account.

a lot less work and less costly.

I've been sitting here trying to work out how you would accomplish this. I do have an abacus, spare cheque book (and account) and have mastered DD.

UUntil then I'll stick with YakPay for its simplicity and I can get my practice manager to pay most uncard-able bills.
Then there's MygovID, RAMs to get my head around. Sigh.

I'm in agreeance with you there tbh, using YP as well and considering the method that the person above is using I would argue the extra time it takes for them to get everything sorted, one could be earning more within that time via using a straight forward platform

Is it ok to use a personal credit card (e.g. Citi Prestige VISA) with YakPay?

Would the card issuer deem YP, RP, EBP etc "business transactions" and therefore not issue points/close card?

(currently getting a bonus point per $ on Citi Prestige, hence the question!)

I have multiple personal and business cards and have had no problems with YP, RP, EBP allocation of points. I do a quick check each month, to ensure points have appropriated correctly. If circumstances change, so do I.

1 Don't ask, don't tell :D !
2. I've used personal Amex, MC and Visa cards for many years for business expenses and no cc provider has ever batted an eyelid.
3. No-one cares, as long as they get to "clip the ticket" on the way through. How would YP, or any merchant for that matter, know what sort of card you have?

Nice one :)

add up your fixed bills (or close enough to fixed) over a 12 month period. Divide by 12, pay that amount into seperate bank account each month.
If you get paid fortnightly or weekly use that instead of monthly.

In the first 12 months you might need to top up a shortfall once or twice but after that it will run perfectly, you will always have enough money to pay your bills.

Or get your butler to do it!

LOL!
I'm obviously too thick to get it - so where do the Rewards points come from in your system?
My cash flow is good enough that every bill is paid within 14 days.

You do realise that people are using EBP or YP to pay accounts from suppliers who don't accept credit card payments factoring the 1.3% as the cost of the points?

I also have a supplier who charges 2.4% credit card surcharge on all cards (he must be using Square) but nil for BSB/account number. 1.3% is better than 2.4% and is just at the upper limit of making the process worthwhile for me.

YMMV.

Anyone else having trouble logging into EBP atm?

Thanks for the reply! I'll ask here but not the bank ha.

On point 3, I'm not concerned about the YP-side. More concerned about Citi-side. Its pretty easy for them to recognise that YP, EBP etc are all B2B payment platforms...

Which personal cards do you use with YP, EBP, RP?
