Revised guesting conditions

Qantas can do what it likes with its "own" elites, but has to adhere to oneworld agreements when it comes to elites of other oneworld program.

So an AA EXP travelling from SYD to SIN on QF1 is quite entitled to guest into the First Lounge a passenger travelling to the USA on QF107 while (with change) a QF WP would not have the same rights.

What sort of flexibility does QF usually show when it comes to the rules surrounding accessing the SYD/MEL F lounge? What situations would they bend the rules? If someone was travelling in F on one QF flight and their wife & infant were travelling on another QF flight leaving around the same time would they be likely to allow the wife & infant to be guested in?

Where does it state that your guest has to be travelling on the same flight.

I've just checked the QFF Platinum Privileges and it simply states "When visiting a First Lounge you may bring one guest, who must also be travelling." No mention about travelling togther.

On the individual lounge pages under eligibility.
