Reserved tables at SYD QF Flounge

The crowd control theory sounds entirely plausible. Come to think of it I don't think I saw any 2-seater with the "reserved" sign.

I've yet to develop a table preference at either Flounge, however have done so with the lounge seats.:D Princess Fiona's meeting room tactic sounds like fun, might do it once for the novelty if traveling in a large group, but I think I'd prefer people watching and Flounging with my fellow plebs. :p

The other day I was there I did see one two seater with a reserved sign... maybe for that table they did actually want 2 people...

BKK J lounge last night was total bougainvillea waiting to board my *Class flight home. :D

Another reason to maintain OWE status ;)

Hmm - I wonder if I call ahead I can reserve my table...

As an FYI my preferred table is the second one in, in the first section (in bold below):

X 4 X
X | X
X | X
X | X
X | X

It is close to the bar so drinks come quickly, has a good view over the "main" part of the lounge so I can spot potential threats or issues but isn't next to the main walkway... O.C.D.

I have seem them in Sydney often; normally at the larger tables.

Dining tables at MEL as well; the four seaters along the Northern windows are often reserved.

Also breakfast tables at MEL several times.

Mine are any with a power point nearby and near the window. There's 4 of these in SYD. In MEL there's only two, neither are near a window.

Hmm ... surprised to you posting at that time; then I checked:
Code:
JQ3 Sydney Honolulu 18:00 19:54 06:45 09:20 Departed
So 114 minutes late.
Later really. :(

Take off was 2105 as we sat at the threshold through a large thunderstorm.

The up side was that we arrived late enough into HNL that we managed to check-in at the hotel as soon as we arrived.

I have noticed the reserved signs in the SYD F Lounge in the past. I never really gave it any thought.

Understand completely, have been in SYD Flounge a couple of times but never seen a celebrity.

I find it funny people can pass comment on others like this, not really warranted IMO.Having said all that i once had a guy tell me off for talking loud in BKK F lounge (was traveling for work with a work mate), quite funny actually as the couple right next to us said they had no issues at all and found the guy to be quite rude. He must have been having a bad day or head ache. When I boarded and took my F seat in 3A, the same guy was flying F and the look on his face when he saw me seated in 3A and he sat in 2A was priceless, as I was in trackies etc. and he had a suit. Not only that mid flight whilst talking to the crew in the galley which I do quite a bit, I told them the story and they mentioned he was only QC Silver and must have upgraded so maybe he wanted to feel some power, anyway quite funny as I say.

When QANTAS call me the day before a flight to see if I wish to book any spa treatment, I have been asked then if I wished to have something to eat pre/post any booking. On the couple of times I have said yes... I have been escorted to a "reserved" table.

I suspect even if they didn't offer to book a table during the call, that this would be the ideal time to request one. Especially if you are on a tight schedule, peak lounge period, or desired a particular table.

Once you have your favourite spot... Ask your waiter what table number it is for future reference.

I get quite flummoxed if my preferred table is already in use - but thankfully the fall back table has always been available.....

I note, with interest, that you did not disclose your fallback table .... ;)
