I understand that Red Roo is various persons, and personality aside, I am concerned if QF has been given information off AFF that allows them to identify individual members of this forum. Particularly if this has been done without our express permission.
Of course members have contacted Red Roo in private, but im meaning outside those parameters...
Aside from the credentials stored for "verified airline status" which is not released to anyone, AFF does not store any information that could be used so.I would be concerned if such information was disclosed, but I doubt that it has been. ...
Or even disclosed via PM fot the odd competition...
I suspect that Red Roo can identify a lot of us from matching information which QF already has with the information we publicly disclose in our posts.
Or even disclosed via PM fot the odd competition.
I have also had a P1 tag removed between Perth and San Paulo, apparently they sell them on ebay, was replace as soon as arrived home.
Wonder if I was mischievous and said that my QF tags have gone awol as well ( actually one did ayear or so ago, but I don't miss it) whether I would test Red Roos identity reading powers? Precident has been set!
I'd be more than happy to arrange new Q Bag Tags for you too, however will require your details via private message as we've not met - personally or electronically.![]()
That will serve Rooflyer right for not applying to go to one of the lunches (ducks).
So we can let go of any lingering paranoia and congratulate them on a great exercise in proactive customer service!

Probably the wrong thread for this and I'm sure it's been covered elsewhere, but what info is actually stored on the Q-Tag itself? Are there any concerns with it going missing? (I never use them after check-in agents in Cairns and somewhere else told me they always put the stickers on anyway as bags often went missing if just the tags are used - though that was a couple of years ago).
I suspect you have posted this before, as when we hit a similar problem on Monday evening (safari bag stuffed inside normal case), I remembered a post on here and was immediately able to solve the problem when the machine went crazy. Mind you even after removing the second tag and exiting the process a couple of times, the machine remained unconvinced that it was solved, until we used my card instead if Mr FM's to checkin the bag! Many thanks, but as I mentioned, I actually don't miss the one that absconded. I only ever take 1 checked bag. When I had the tag on one, and the other tag was inside the case, (as I would be returning with a second checked bag (work stuff)) - cor blimey, didn't the auto bag check machine go crazy. Too clever by half.

Personally I never suggested that RR was able to identify us without disclosure on our part. My comment was merely that once identified, this information is remembered![]()
