Recovering Expired Miles

Hi,

Unfortunately I've let 150k+ advantage miles expire. Is there a way to reinstate them without paying the rather large reinstatement fee? (circa USD 1250)?

My googling shows that some people have been lucky with a reinstatement challenge (where they need to earn some loyalty points?)

They had a challenge last year, but it may have expired in August.

Your best option is to call and ask.
