I am very excited at this achievement.

A lot of the travel was necessary and there was some fun along the way going the long way around to my favourite destination. What made it even harder was that in the same time frame I also credited over 400 SCs to Virgin to maintain Gold for another year.

And it was fitting that the flight that got me to 2400 SCs was the second leg of SIN-BNE-SYD itinerary a few days ago.

I received an email from Qantas a few hours ago and the choice for me is very simple and will get me to within 50,000 QFF points of my goal of 1,000,000 QFF points before the end of the year.

Congrats on reaching this milestone! Now for the hard part, choosing a family member or friend... :)

I believe JohnK has indicated they will take the 50K QFF points in their OP.

Well done John.

While I have surpassed 2400 SC's a number of times, it was back when PG was the only option at 2.1K SC's.

I'll be on 2.5K this time next month.

Well done JohnK.. Certainly a great achievement considering the domestic hops you do!

You don't have a relative who would swap 50k of points for Gold? win-win situation!

Thanks everyone.

Only relatives in Australia are parents and brother and they hardly fly so Gold status would be wasted. Plus if i did gift status to tbem i wouldnt expect anything from them.

The 50,000 QFF points will come in handy.

JohnK - congrats, that is quite an achievement ?
I'm curious to know - how do you plan to spend the 1million QFF points once you get there ?
