A quick question which I haven't been able to find a quick answer to either on AFF or via our good friend Google (Which I realise effectively amounts to the same thing).

I am looking to book SYD-BNE in a couple of weeks time for my wife who is currently NB. On the way there I was looking to book a Classic Business Award so that she has access to the QP or Domestic Business Lounge as she will likely be arriving at the airport fairly early to avoid traffic and will have our youngest with her for the flight.

Whilst I haven't been able to find anything that explicitly states that a no-status passenger on a Business Classic Award doesn't have Lounge access of any sort, I am aware that sometimes these things can sometimes be buried deep in Ts & Cs.

Can anyone confirm for me that my wife as NB traveling on a Domestic Classic Business Award flight will have Lounge access in Sydney???

Thanks in advance!

She definitely can use the J Lounge in SYD & if at other cities if there is no J Lounge she can use the QF Club.

It doesn't matter if it's a Classic Award, Any Seat Award ticket in J or a paid J Class fare - she just shows her J boarding pass at the lounge reception to gain access.

How old is the child travelling with her?

If youre flying J with no status you can definently use the lounge!

Thanks for the clarification ozbeachbabe. Goes to show you how spoilt you can get (and by 'you' I mean me) with status :-)

The child traveling with her is an infant so there shouldn't be any issue getting him in from that point of view as long as mrsntaus has access.

/me goes to book award flights...
