I think there is still a little bit tweaking happening in the background. It did look a little different yesterday, but seems to be pretty much back to the "old" layout again today. No real problem - the forum was still readable, just looked slightly different with some links down the left side. But it did make the posts display narrower so less info per screen.

I was logged in at some stage yesterday and didn't notice anything different. Guess the tweaks were done later, or perhaps in my sleep deprived state I missed it.

Ha - it has just changed & now I see the LHS ads (when I posted above they weren't there).

Yup, back again now with the Search, Quick Links, Photo Gallery, Calandar, and Log Out on the left side instead of across the top.

Click on the search link, and you get presented four options:

A basic search box
Advanced search link
Today's Post link
New Posts link

(although may be New Posts link requires you to be logged in)

The links were fine at the top of the browser. The links on the left side of the browser, taking up 1/3 of the screen width, are causing me hassles. I now have to scroll to the right everytime to view any list of threads or any posts. BTW this is not the case with FT!

We had this problem before, it was fixed and now it has re-appeared.

Someone please help.

I've just noticed another change here.

When the new forum software was installed, the email notifications contained a copy of the message posted which I felt was a great improvement as I could quickly read a response and decided whether or not to click through to the forum.

This has suddenly disappeared. Now I have to click through, as I did with the old software.

Can we have this feature back?

I noticed this feature change as well, and I liked it the way it was giving the response. Mind you if the gave a quote and replied to the quote, sometime I had to click through to see what they were talking about.

I think there was some resetting of profile options overnight. When I started posting today it would automatically subscribe me to that thread even though I had turned this feature off when the new forum software was installed.

I would suggest you visit your "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit Options" and see if some value has been reset here.

I haven't signed up to receive email notifications (mailbox gets cluttered up enough as it is) and have only subscribed to 1 thread on AFF. Nevertheless I got email notifications of replies to (it seems) all threads I posted to yesterday. How can I turn this off if I'm not subscribed in the first place?

I noticed it this morning. Looks better. I like the changes, makes it a little easier to navigate.

As long as the tweaking is improving the look and feel it is OK by me.
