Did anyone see where the list of users went? There was a link around here at some point, but can't find it since the last tweaks!

It has disappeared.

If you go into your user control panel and the select your buddy list there is a link at the bottom to view all users. A workaround for now.

Buddy / Ignore Lists
To remove a user from either the Buddy or Ignore Lists, delete their name from the appropriate box. To add a user to either list, enter their name in one of the empty boxes for that list.

This new "travel article" has got me totally bamboozled.

Lindsay posted an article about China Airlines and Kiwi Flyer replied to it and I cannot see this post no matter how hard I try. When I click on the post is just displays the article again. Is there something I need to know?

China's airlines scramble to improve

China open for business -- but do airlines make the grade?

If you click on the button to comment on the article, you will see Kiwi Flyer's comment. Not sure if there is a better way of seeing it.

Thanks. I sounds a little complex and don't see the reason why it is not the same as the other forums.

It's still here but moved to the forum jump pulldown at the bottom.

Seems to look like the other forums today.

I notice that the "Reputation" feature has now been turned on. I've seen this cause a lot of angst on another forum, especially when members allocate negative rep points and it becomes a competition as to who has the most green (or red) squares.

How have the starting points been allocated?

I agree, get rid of them.

Over on the MB clubs forum it turned into an unholy war!!!!!

I hope is doesn't cause a war (holy or unholy) here! It was requested by some members - just to help them assess the knowledge of fellow members of our community. At this stage its still in the "experimental" stage. If it causes problems, it will be removed!

I've not actually seen this feature in use before - maybe I join forums after the wars have happened and cease fires issued. I will find it interesting to see what happens with it.

Oops I answered too quickly. The pull down list has an option for who is online, but no member list.

Admin - can you please reinstate the member list as it is an easy way to pm or email others? The alternative is to find a post for the member - fortunately NM posts a lot otherwise that could be tricky - and click on their name.

See JohnK's posting for a workaround for the time being

Still doesn't answer how those with some have got it so soon (or those without, haven't).

I reiterate, get rid of it.

This is an internet forum, useful (very) but not the Encyclopaedia Brittanica.

I am as guilty as many of posting useless garbage, at times.

Anything read on the internet should be under the principle of caveat emptor.

Well, given the scores the three musketeers, oops I mean moderators, have got, I am guessing they had something to do with it :)

Well, IMO it is exclusive and divisive.

There is already enough latent eliteism on this forum, it does not need anything additional.

As OzMark has surmised the allocation has strangely been weighted.

I will continue to lurk and see if it goes or stays, as will I.

Hi Admin,

On other forums I've used, the reputation system didn't indicate the knowledge or lack thereof of a member. It was basically a popularity meter, where members attracted points for being friendly and often received negative points if they annoyed or disagreed with someone.

For example, if a member posted one of those snotty posts that you often see on FT, such as:
- "Might I suggest using the search function since this has been discussed before..."
- "If you did your research, you would know that QF does not..."
- "He would not be in a position to know..."

...it is likely to offend more than just the intended recipient and may probably attract quite a few negative reputation points.

On second thoughts, leave it as it is. Perhaps it will have a benefit after all!

Note to fellow members - if you are going to use the system, recipients can see that you have awarded points for/against them in the Control Panel. ;)
