QANTAS has quarantined about 20 flight attendants who came into direct contact with confirmed swine flu victims.

The airline confirmed last night that the flight attendants would be quarantined for up to a week after consultation between the airline's medical services unit and health authorities, The Australian reports

Thats handy - give it three or four weeks and QF and DJ will have insufficent crew to keep all their flights going. Guess if that correlates with no passengers then it doesnt matter.:rolleyes:



Surveys have shown that in a full pandemic (we're not at that yet!), it is likely that between 40 and 60% of staff will not attend work due to a mixture of
- illness
- caring for those with illness (parents/kids)
- home problems (kids well but schools closed and no carers available)
