Hi all
I have 2 award bookings in PE for QF5 SYD/SIN in Sep. Today I logged into my QFF account and saw a note that the flight had been cancelled and the PAX had been rebooked on SYD/BNE/SIN (where SYD/BNE is in economy and BNE/SIN is PE). Both PAX are my missus and son. I am also booked on QF5 but did so via AA points redemption (and in J cabin).
The reason appears to be that the aircraft has changed and there is no PE cabin as a result.
I spoke with a QF lady today (Sunday) who was extremely helpful, understanding that QFF centre is not open on weekends and I would need to follow through with a call to QFF on Monday morning. She even went so far as to change my missus and son back to QF5, albeit in economy cabin.
Has anyone experienced something similar? I'd be keen to know what the outcome of your experience was as well as any "standard operating procedure" that typically applies in such circumstances, eg; what happens to the QFF points, any typical goodwill that the airline may apply, etc, etc. before I make the next call to QFF tomorrow morning.
Thanks in advance,
Sigh.
