Clearly. It would appear to have lost two engines. That's quite a problem!Good old nonews - a 2 engined A380!!
And somehow, it's a problem with the A380??
It's purely a media beat-up. QF has bad press right now for other reasons. It simply adds fuel to the fire.I cannot see the relevance of past problems with the A380 and Qantas retrenching 1000 staff to an unruly passenger on the flght.
Maybe instead of no news its now extra news!

That's an after-midnight departure for QF2 ... do they get special dispensation to break curfew in such circumstances?

theres no curfew at heathrow per se just restrictions on what types of aircraft can operate late at night. i imagine the 380 is classed as quiet enough to be able to operate around the clock into LHR
Seeing that QF has been in the media a fair bit as of late, it's not surprising to see some of these incident pop up in the media...
