QF1 Delayed

It will be interesting to see how proactive they are in this situation.

My partner, travelling on the same flight, contacted the P1 team on an associated matter and has just been advised that Sydney Operations do not anticipate a delay on tomorrow's QF1.
I will keep a watch but am prepared to accept that it will be okay.
However, I will keep fingers crossed, have the connecting flights linked - and light a candle to a saint, if I can find the appropriate one for this situation. :)

I'm on qf2 Monday night out of lhr
ive heard nothing and hope it stays that way

Thanks for that.
looks like a busy flight so fingers crossed for an f opup on the comfort front too!

Cannyman, I know nothing about aircraft schedules, so this may be entirely irrelevant - and one of the many AFF experts will set us both straight.
But QF 1 is showing as arriving LHR on Monday 1 Oct at 21.45 pm instead of 06.35 am.
From my totally uninformed point of view, this may mean something of a delay for you on QF2. Then again, I may have this completely wrong. So you should either "wait and see" or you may receive some much more informed counsel from others. Then we will both be wiser. :)

The aircraft which operates QF1 often operates the QF10 to Melbourne service on return. This was indeed the case for the delayed QF1 on Friday, which turned around to operate a slightly delayed QF10 to Melbourne.

That would make sense. Nothing from QF at this stage.

The only thing I know is that our flight is being operated by one of the newly configured birds, and at this stage we have row 32.

Touch wood it stays as it!

OQA is back in service operating yesterday's QF9, so things should restore to normal. Shows the joys of running a small fleet, something that will be an issue for the 744s as well as the A380s soon.

Strange movement yesterday, OQA positioned to MEL to operate QF9 (after 3 days grounded) and OQG positioned from MEL to SYD but then couldn't operate QF1, so the flight was delayed overnight.

I suspect that's crew issues, QF also positioned an A332 to HKG to pickup the leftovers.

Not looking real good.
qf1 delayed and not estimated to arrive at lhr until after scheduled departure of qf2

Nothing from p1 or any notifications so fingers crossed!

As previously mentioned, an inbound delay of QF1, may impact QF10 to MEL, rather than QF2.

Today's QF1 from SYD is currently on schedule. Yesterday's delayed service left SIN approx 3 hours ago.

Well
sitting in t3 f lounge and we are delayed by 2.5 hours. I found this out by googling the flight number as BA don't announce delays and the flight boards aren't configured to do so ( as told by lounge door person - not a dragon this time).

I am going to have a separate rant about the rest of the journey. BA and lhr have just given me the most absurdly bad experience that I need some time to compose my thoughts.

Put it this way anyone planning a Dom uk connection to oz through lhr should seriously add 2 hours to their connection time or look at alternative routes.

Current lhr security make the tsa look like reasonable and rational human beings. And BA deserve the Bloody Awful acronym the hhave earned.

Canny Man - I agree wholeheartedly

Tell me if you still have your pants on

A very officious LHR security wench, masquerading as a Jenny Craig drop out, kept me "holding" for 35 mins above the "normal" wait so that she could ascertain if I was allowed to fly with a studded belt.

The belt could be a weapon she alleged although I did try and point out that if she confiscated my belt that when my pants fell down everyone else may be able to also see a concealed weapon.. She was not amused and wobbled her fat little packet back to her office

Two of the security blokes were very helpful and advised that "she" had just been made an acting "supervisor" for the day

What do they say - power goes to head or something like that

Anyway RM belt was safely returned by sensible bloke although FAB supervisor suggested that perhaps I should "turn the blet over" so it would not be noticed!!!! WTF???

......I'm beginning to understand what you were left waiting for 35 minutes....:p
