According to the QF Source, QF1 was delayed on the 29th.

[h=2]29th September 2012 - QF1 Delay.[/h]QF1 Sydney - Singapore - London Heathrow has been delayed overnight.

If I am on QF2 tomorrow night out of LHR, should I be worried about the flow on affect, and if so normally how good are QF about notifying pax about these delays?

QF1 was delayed from Friday, and a very small delay Saturday.

According to EF QF1' departing SYD on 29/9, was 1 hour 36 minutes late out of Singapore and was scheduled to land at LHR at 08:00 on the 30/9.

QF1 will be delayed overnight again today (30/9).

VH-OQA is out of service.

QFF F desk in Sydney is maintaining that QF 1 tomorrow (1 Oct) will be on schedule. Has anyone had any different advice, please?

Being P1 I would be on the phone and start asking questions and then ask them to ring you if there is a change.

Hopefully a huge P1 benefit for yourself

Yes, the theory is great, isn't it. Blocked number call missed, while I was on another call. Rang back - recorded message, promising to return my call. Nowt so far. Will follow up. Thanks for the response.

Why, I am sure they will touch base when something changes, this far out its unlikely to be conclusive, so why waste people's time with unnecessary questions that don't yet have answers? QF have always been good with such notifications in a timely manner.

Being proactive is only helpful when you can make a difference.

VH-OQA is scheduled SYD-MEL very shortly. Is it taking up QF9 today?

VH-OQG flew MEL-SYD this morning also after arriving as QF10...

The overnight QF1 delay the other day was VH-OQJ it seems?

in principle, yes. But we have transport booked for 9am tomorrow, for connecting flights into SYD for QF1, then onward connections from LHR into Europe, then meeting colleagues for a long drive to our final destination.

Today's QF 1 is delayed until tomorrow morning, 8 am. Hence, my concern.

I understand your concern but if QF F are saying no issues there is not much you can do, what happens today is not related to any issue tomorrow, as shown by yesterday's services where they pulled a plane of the HKG run. One option you might have is to get on the delayed service that leaves earlier the same day, however my experience has taught me that second guessing QF ops often ends in an outcome that's worse than going with the flow.

i was on qf1 on wed 26/9 which was 140mins delayed out of sydney, if that makes any difference/help.

Thank you for the input. The recent problem has involved overnight delays with QF1. That is, today's scheduled 16.30 departure is now delayed until tomorrow, 0800.
Hopefully, all will be sorted after today. But thanks again.
