Well, another year and another Test Series is upon us - whilst we didn't get the Indian Test match, it's Sri Lanka who had an up and down time over in NZ recently. As usual, I shall be slumming it in the Cricketers Club with clients, alas my father and uncle won't be attending (first time in my memory, but they are in their 80's and don't want to travel home in the dark - normally, they get picked up by my mother). It's going to be very different not having them tere to share it with me - we've been doing it since the late 1980's together.
So, there will be photos of the QCC, the hallowed turf of the pitch and grounds (via both our outdoor seat in the afternoon sessions and our table at dinner) and our menus, entrees, mains and desserts plus the occasional obligatory selfie (perhaps with some famous people). We chose the dinner option rather than the lunch session.
Test Team here: http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/...ralia-vs-sri-lanka-1st-test-sl-in-aus-2018-19. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Caps play and seeing how the team gels.
I'm at work both mornings and will leave around 11.30am for my usual bus into town and then across to the Gabba. Getting home
