That's another question I forgot to bring up.

Is QF a 'full service carrier' Monday - Friday, then a LCC come weekends?

An 'alcoholic beverage' starts at $6 on weekends.

I think you are right.

Qantas domestic should be the same 7 days a week. I don't get a discount for weekend flights.

It's a quirk of history that certain routes have complientary beer and wine after 4 pm on weekdays. It never was the standard product offering on Qantas domestic. Even back in the days when Ansett was around, if you wanted a beer, you'd have to pay up...Paying for alcohol is not something that defines an LCC.

I believe it was part of the CityFlyer branded flights for weekday peak. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...!

that's not what the Qantas webste says... it says dom Y meals are NP influenced...

Just like my Japanese-French fusion cooking at home is influenced by Tetsuya Wakuda. Doesn't mean he had anything to do with it :)

influence
ˈɪnflʊəns/Submit
noun
1.
the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect itself.

the "light lunch" inclusion on ADL-SYD on Sat. 15th at 1.30pm was a rather greasy in a hot plastic bag "sweet potato and sausage pie" - the greasiness possibly from the cheese content, rather than the 19% claimed beef sausage content. There was also a strange listed ingredient whose name I cannot remember, but it was not a preservative etc number, nor a conventional "food" name that I have struck before. It was rather searingly hot when it hit the (trayless) deck but at least the plastic bag was actually tearable at the end (so annoying those ones that resist tearing or the gnashing of teeth). But at least the contents of the pie were sufficiently solid that they did not spurt into my lap - it was more open-faced than pastry topped for pie connoisseurs. And a can of lemonade, with certainly no offers of beers etc at whatever price - but that is only 4pm+ anyway? The pie was tasty enough - too bad if you were vego though? but more Big Ben than Neil Perry!

If you were vego you would order a vego meal. So it's not ' too bad ' at all is it?
