Well another FF-year has passed for me, 1 Nov is my FF year start. I was hoping to comp Mrs! Gold again, but with my long flights in J being on Singapore and a change of company policy in March, she missed out.

I lost 1510 ststus credits overnight, this is one of my lowest earning years for a long time on QF, however, this year I attained silver on DJ (thats not a brag either - I'm dissapointed I spent that much time in the red birds) and also flew DeathStar more times than I care to mention...

I'm actually sitting outside "eat-n-runway" at gate 43 BNE, it's not a good look that my first flight for the FFyear is a DJ!! I did say in my FERAL post that I wouldn't fly DJ again but these flights were pre-booked.

My aim for the upcoming year is to have Mrs! comp Gold again. My outlook is good with a few long hauls on the future in J and on QF or AA, so who knows.

Happy FF YEAR Everyone!! and many status earns

As it happens, today marks the start of my year as well. I am aiming to requalify as gold based on what I can see me doing over the next year.

Good luck with your goal Mr!

I "lost" ~3400 SC's this morning ... for me the most ever.

It's a bit disconcerting to see:
Summary said:

You must fly a minimum four eligible flight segments on Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar and earn the required status credits to retain/attain during your membership Year

I'm in the MEL Flounge, about to embark to the USA, by the time I return on Wednesday I will be ½ way to requalifying if all goes to plan.

Last year I went overboard and re qualified altogether by Nov 8, but I am taking it a bit easier this time.

(Should also have LTG stitched up by Monday as well :D)

My year restarts today as well. Only lost 395 SCs:oops: but was comped to gold:mrgreen:, my 4th year as Gold. Also lost SQ PPS overnight...
Will easily requalify for Gold this FF year with 2 J return trips to Bangkok and Tokyo planned so far. Not sure whether I can make a run for QF WP status, but unlike others, I refuse to be a self funded WP!;). I shouldn't be complaining but it is impossible to make a non direct flight when someone else is picking up the tab, even if the trip is cheaper via a Circle Pacific, DONE etc

Got to hate those requirements to take the most direct route possible :)

You earned 1200 SC in 8 days :shock::shock:
Wow.

I have plenty of time to sew up Platinum status until May 2010.

For next year I am hoping that BA WT+ airfares return to their previous levels and with the CX I class specials BKK-SIN continuing and with a little domestic travel should see me easily qualify Platinum until May 2011 and closer to Lifetime Silver.

I'm aiming to get gold this year, only got 300 SC to go. No INT travel, it'll all be Y DOM. I should make it by Feb. my roll over is 1st April.. (what a joke!)

Congratulations!

I should be SG by January on the back of a LONE4 and a full Y int trip :D

Either that, or do the AA plat challenge and throw my points that way.... :?:

-485 for me (looks like a few of us have Oct 31 Annivararies!)

Will probably struggle to get even the 300 for silver again but we'll see how we go!

Well I'm proud to say that I made SG for the first time ever this year. I always seem to miss out by a few SCs here and there and never did a Status Run. I really should have considered a Status Run sooner given the benefits.

Anyway, I live & learn.

My year ends SEP so hopefully I can retain that but not sure.

My account doesn't roll over until June - currently my account shows:

Code:
Status credits earned from 01 Jun 2008: 80
Additional Status credits required by 31 May 2009 to retain Gold: 520

Fortunately I've got a boat load of SCs coming my way from booked QF/AA flights in the next two months :D

August for me: I currently read:

Current Status: Platinum
Status reassessment will occur: 31 Aug 2009
Status credits earned from 01 Sep 2008: 840
Additional Status credits required by 31 Aug 2009 to retain Platinum: 360

Current lifetime Status credits: 10,247

Strangely I have those extra 7 status credits, don't know how that happened....

You are not alone. I have seen a few people on AFF mention those type of SCs and I think it was due to QF using a much different SCs earning table back in the 1990's.
