Answer Qantas will be the subject of stop work meetings by some of its engineers on Monday 23 June and Tuesday 24 June 2008. Until then, all services will operate as normal.
Once the action has commenced, everything will be done to reduce any impact on our customers. Some flight changes are likely to be required. We will contact customers as soon as possible to discuss suitable alternatives.

Hi Anna,

I find it interesting that when I look at some of your posts about something going wrong at Qantas, a large Virgin Blue advertisement appears above!

I wonder if this is purely coincidence?

"Until then, all services will operate as normal."

Hmmm. With the increasing number of delays seemingly associated with engineering requirements, methinks they aren't currently operating as normal!

Not my doing, I promise. It's better than when I appear to be advertising Chinese mail order brides though. I find that one a bit offensive!

I know - those adds are bizarre as they attach to the individual reply!

I always wondered about that ad, and thought that perhaps whatever targetting methodology was employed for which sites to put the advert on had gone a little astray

Hmm....I thought they were targetting only me with those ads:oops::rolleyes:

Either that or Straitman, Serfty and NM are the same people... come to think of it I've never seen them in the same room together...

Well two out of three ain't bad! I know of several occasions where 2 out of 3 of us (ooop, me) have been in the same room, but can categorically say that to the best of our collective knowledge (yeah, shut up in the peanut gallery) we have not concurrently graced the same room.

Nor have I ...
... we have not concurrently graced the same room.
In any case, should such a thing happen, Grace would not be the appropriate word ...

I was overseas and do not bother reading news while on holidays, only sports results. Did the proposed industrial action happen and how serious were the effects?
