QF flight number AA One world Emerald - Reciprocal benefits with QF?

Hey everyone, quick question - I have a flight coming up booked on Qantas and have AA Advantage Platinum Pro status, will I have access to those one world emerald benefits on this QF flight? First check in, first lounge access and extra baggage? From from SYD to DPS.

Are you sure you are an OWE. I am AA platinum which only gives me OWS.
But yes you definitely do get OW benefits on QF. In fact I have only ever had 1 domestic op up on QF and it was when I had my AA Exp Plat number in the booking.

Did I need to have my AA number in the booking? i did call up to add it so there are both QF and AA numbers.

I called Qantas and they couldn't tell me the answer, but then read this on the qantas site. So bit confused.

You have the answer re OWE, but can I suggest:

* You take the QFF number out of the reservation. Their system MAY either have that number entered first, and read it (only) so your BP wouldn't show the AA/OWE status. If you want your AA/OWE status, but want to earn on Qantas, you can go in and change over your FF number after check-in (that used to work - unsure now).

* The call centres are generally clueless on things such as this, and the website is referring to the "pay for access" program, not related to status.

* Not sure if you are familiar with SYD check-in setup. There are dedicated First check-in areas, set a bit back from the check-in area entry point.

This is for people who pay for Qantas Club or Admiral's Club memberships. It doesn't apply to status members of the FFPs.

In terms of earning, did you want to earn with QFF? In my experience earning to AAdvantage for QF-coded flights has earned pretty well.

At this stage it doesn't bother me too much as I'm not chasing status with QFF at this stage.

Sure! Strut in like you own the place. . Seriously, just assume the AA number is in there, and when the agent is checking details, just ask them to confirm that its there and not the Qantas one. People will be doing this type of thing all the time.
