Very happy to be able to cancel a Y single session to a movie voucher which was able to be redeemed for a J double feature under todays Red-E Sale for $3.73/SC

Post #433 of this thread would seem to confirm flight credits used for a different screening did work. But afaik straight out purchase of a gift voucher never works.

does anyone know the best way to claim the ORC for the originally booked flights, or is it tough luck?

Email QFF and request ORC. Provide details of original booking and explain the involuntary change caused by delays on the day

The best way is using the online form https://www.qantas.com/au/en/support/contact-us/frequent-flyer-membership.html#enquire or email [email protected], highlighting your originally booked sectors and specifically requesting original routing credit. And as above say you were moved.

For reference, this was a gv not credits although they're effectively the same thing in the current QF IT system.

highlighting your originally booked sectors

Just seeking clarification on this please, from anyone. I've had lots of past experience claiming ORC for the originally booked sectors, with no problem. I'm wondering though, would I have any luck claiming ORC for the most recently ticketed sectors?

Fictitious example - original booking was MEL- SYD, involuntary cancellation (months out) puts me on MEL-CBR-SYD (ticketed), then another cancellation puts me back on MEL-SYD. I'll try.

I’d have thought the “O” would be what you would get. You could try it on, but would have no entitlement to expect success. It would be as flown or “O”

I expect that will work as long as you have the e-ticket PDF for MEL-CBR-SYD in your example

Anything to get a different route, like cancelling into a flight credit will void the Double SC?

So long as the booking uses the original PNR you retain the DSC eligibility., regardless if you change flights to a different date within the travel window or cancel to a flight credit and re-book new flights within the travel window.

Gotta laugh about the flight credit
Seems I can use it for Oz to HKG, but I cannot use it for Oz-xHKG-PEK. I'm guessing that's because of the CX flight.
