The GDS still shows V and L as 'flexi saver' with FLEX written into the fare basis, things are not updated at all yet from what I can see

This issue is still not fixed. QF website showing flexi saver fares at same rate as before but earning discount economy points and status credits. I thought today was the launch of the simplified fare buckets??

Not good enough qantas...

Yes your right sorry.

What's not clear though is why they haven't released fares for travel from that date. if i book v class for feb 19 its called flexi saver, priced as flexi saver but ill earn as a red edeal.... its very misleading

Agree that the information being presented in misleading and confusing, though I believe it will (should at least) be determined by the Fare conditions at the time of the booking. If you click on the "Flexi Saver" link, it shows the fare conditions, and this states that the fare is classed as Flexible Economy for purpose of calculating points and status credits.

I'm further interested in how future flight changes will be handled. I've got a bunch of V-class fares already booked which I regularly move around. It will be interesting to see whether it prices at the same level even if the fare class is different.

I wonder if existing v class bookings will be remapped to the new fare class for flexis when the change kicks in. also waiting to see if the upgrade award table will be updated... v class previously allowed upgrades at the flexi economy to business rate ... i presume that will no longer be the case.

All in all.... poorly implemented
