It’s an interesting conundrum to be able to manage AU-EU/UK and the routing to use to make it two stop with all legs <8-9hrs?
Understood not going to be easy.

When TG/SQ used to have the flights to ATH it was a little easier. But even with all my criticism of DXB I feel SYD-SIN-DXB-EU is acceptable.

Would NRT into West USA be possible?

AU-BKK-IKA-EU

TAS as the second stop

There’s some creative routings, not sure how practical or desirable they are......

Since TG have pulled out of IKA it only leaves Mahan Airlines flying direct to BKK. So maybe not all that desirable.

Now if you want two close to equal legs to get to Western Europe (LHR) from East Coast of Aus then Colombo is about smack bang in the centre. And of course Sri Lankan flies to MEL.

Yep

It’s harder than it seems to get three legs close to 8-9hrs

Go straight to the CX Lounge via the Gin Bar at the QF Lounge and no no salt and pepper squid last time I was there.

Do they do S&P squid in the QF lounge at LHR before QF10, or should I just go straight to the CX F Lounge?
Only if you are CL or P1, only if it happens to be on the A5 sheet sized under the counter menu that day and only if they do that for QF10. (First PAX on QF2 get this.)

So for mere basic WP, CX F for food and drink, AA F for drink.

First world problem JohnM that serfty has explained.
Had a call from Brad (infiniti) and he has developed a taste for the lobster for breakfast in the SQ Private Room. We just did the PH Rare with a regular bacon and eggs.

While MEL is too far a back track from PER when headed to Europe, if starting in the eastern states MEL-CMB-LHR would be a far better choice for me than MEL-PER-LHR. There's nothing low brow with the biz seats or service on UL's A330s. And both UL segments are roughly equal in length.
But the short hop in the Y cabin to SIN or KUL works from PER...(for me) And UL now will use an A330 on one of their CMB-SIN flight pairs.

Might be less expensive as well

Happy wandering

All this under the counter stuff and excluding WP from what they would ordinarily get in an F lounge seems bizarre. I generally don’t eat a lot in the lounge but I do particularly enjoy the S&P squid as a snack.

What Champagne does AA serve? Is the AA lounge close by?

AA's lounge front door is about a 20 second walk from that of the QF lounge.

I have consumed both Bollinger & Taittinger there.

A couple of glasses of champagne and that long walk will all be forgotten by JohnM. We could enter him in an Under Seventy walking contest between those lounges.
