No more A330-300s on order. However, the QF Group does hold orders for 8 more A330-200s, being 2 for JQ to be delivered in the next few months, and 6 for QF mainline to be delivered in about 18 months time. The ones for QF mainline will initially be used to replace the A330-300s on BOM and PVG routes. However, there are also rumours of A330-200 being used for LAX ops (assume QF25/26 or QF175/176).Chucksta said:Does QF have any more A330-300s on order?
Unlikely. There are lots of other routes to get the A330-300s when the -200s are delivered, and I would not expect that to be a high priority route for the.Chucksta said:Do you think QF will replace the 767 on the PER-NRT route with a A330-300?
The ex-AO aircraft have been reconfigured to the standard domestic configuration, but can be used trans-Tasman as well. They needed more domestic widebody capacity when the A330-200s went to JQ.oz_mark said:I thought they were transferring 4 of the int 767's onto domestic duties sometime. Presumably something will be replacing those aircraft.

It says a lot when Deathstar gets the 787s in preference to the main QF fleet....
Yes, the whole purpose of the new A330-200 order was to get the strengthened floor and high gross weight so they can operate with Skybeds and longer flights than the A330-300 or the JQ A330-200s.Platy said:Hold on a minute! Pardon my ingnorance NM because I'm not positive but I though the loadings of QF175 was quite high?NM said:However, there are also rumours of A330-200 being used for LAX ops (assume QF25/26 or QF175/176).
I think that may well be correct. It was probably 18 months from when they were ordered.ANstar said:I believe 2 of the QF A332's are due around December/January.
ANstar said:That would mean 2 x A333's will be looking for homes on 767 routes, so perhaps SYD-HKG will be in line before PER to get them.
Don't know. Perhaps it varies. But the rumour is that QF is planning some A330-200 ops to LAX and AKL and BNE are the only points that would fit the range capability of the A330-200. Or perhaps they may re-introduce CNS-LAX services?littl_flier said:Pardon my ingnorance NM because I'm not positive but I though the loadings of QF175 was quite high?
Wunala Dreaming said:With regards to PER-SIN services, they will remain 333 for some time to come. I remember getting an update from QF though that a few 333 flights (SIN/NRT etc) would be cancelled during SEP, so don't be alarmed, it's probably due to maintenance or something.
