Looks like Qantas may be starting to price some wines out of the minimum spend required to use the vouchers.

For example, Serafino at $24.5 in a case of 6 comes in at $147, so unable to use a voucher.

There are so many ways to try to find good deals in this Life. Now that Qantas codes appear to have finished, so has my purchasing through them :)

As is so tediously usual for QF, they always seem to be behind the eightball. By bumping prices to make them inaccessible to codes, to tighten up availability of codes, are just things that will peeve a small minority - ie those that look for bargains. This same group will no doubt do what I have and gone on to greener pastures....

Their tweaks would make perfect sense if they were the sole provider of online wine sales - but I do not think that they realize they are not.

For what it’s worth, I expressed this sentiment over a live chat this morning. The agent understood my frustration, but tried to assure me that accessibility of vouchers didn’t influence pricing decisions. However, when a case is $3 below the requirement, it’s somewhat hard to believe.

Nonetheless, the agent was happy to manually override the voucher I had despite the order being below $150. Surprisingly, this was their suggestion, not mine, nor was I expecting this.

Hi Captain

I know it’s frustrating when it appears the pricing has been set to stop voucher use but I much prefer this than the practices exhibited by many others. I really dislike the likes of Cellarmasters placing products at the exact voucher price with large discounts attached only to receive undrinkable swill on receipt.
I’m happy QF are still selling branded products and sales will definitely fall and vouchers will flow Again. We have seen the same cycle from many before and others will take their place.
The difference is QF has a massive customer base who buy wine in a very different manner to most of us here. We may stop, but others will happily burn points for wine. Buying opportunities will become less frequent but just as rewarding when they present.
cheers birdy

My daughter was v pleased with the Pommery Champs but commented that she prefers Veuve. I don't know which one, but I'm hoping a hot deal comes up again.

What did she pay for the Pommery gmoh? $22.50 QFW mistake price? She will never see Veuve at that price.

FTR - those who do not know - check out the Madame Pommery story - fascinating!!!

Yep, I bought the 1 box on the QFW mistake, my first ever box. She was impressed, but I need to do something similar again, even if more $$.
I got the $50 off offer, is that a typical amount?

I got an email this morning with a $50 voucher off $150 spend.

Interestingly it included the following condition (not sure if this is standard):

Voucher valid until midnight 17 January 2020, is only valid for the recipient of this email and cannot be shared or forwarded. Each voucher code can only be used once. Only one promo code can be applied per order. Voucher cannot be used for Champagne, Penfolds, sparkling wine, food and spirits.

"is only valid for the recipient of this email and cannot be shared or forwarded. "

All the codes that were previously shared had the same disclaimer, but they were mostly generic and available to anyone.
After you use it, you can share it here and see if they have actually implemented their policy this time.

I'm probably not going to end up using it... nothing I can find that looks worth buying.

If anyone is keen to have a go at using the code, PM me and I'll send it through.

I reckon i could put it to good use. PM Sent. I'll share results.

I used it successfully, so not tied to the email recipient, the format looks unique and it wouldn't let me use it again on a second order, good luck to next in line.

I can confirm that it was in fact single-use. I just tried to use it on a dummy order and it hasn't worked.

Unfortunately it looks like QW are finally getting smarter with their codes. :(

I would suggest that if you receive a code and don't intend to use it that you do what CaptainCurtis has done, advertise for PMs to allow someone else to use it if you cannot find something you want yourself.

This happens a lot on my Forum with unique Cellarmasters codes that are sent to individuals and are not wanted by the recipient and I'm encouraging my members to do the same for QW codes now.
