Qantas Wine latest offering

Just received this offer:

Any chardonnay drinkers tried this and care to comment?

We bought six of these in a promo about 2 months ago. Mrs G is the designated white drinker at home, and she dislikes the taste and says it gives her a headache. A bottle or two in a mixed dozen is OK but I wouldn't get a case of it.
 
I feel the Shadowfax chardy is easily the best of the epiQure exclusive bottlings. Good nose, plenty of body and a long finish. Bit of a red wine drinkers white.
O.K. sub $20: but that is what it actually is. Forget the bonus bottle of red, bring back the points bonus per 6 bottles and I for one will buy some more
YMMV.
 
Not sure if this is the right thread, but does anybody else find that when they click on the links in the Epiqure emails, approximately 50% of the time you get an error page load instead of the correct page with the offer on?

Edit: it's not just linking from emails, it's browsing too! Very frustrating.

I have noticed that Epiqure have added to their clearance stock. Just placed an order for some 2008 Peter Lehmann Stonewall Shiraz at $62.99 incl del whereas DM's price is $69.35 plus del.
Also 3000 bonus points on the way :)

2008 St Henri is 'good' value (08 is better than 09) same price as DMs and 3000 bonus pts. Seems fair to me! Bought a case.

The 3,000 bonus points are only for buying $300 or more of the "Sale" marked items. The Super Reds Value Dozen is part of the sale. A couple of weeks ago, I actually bought 4 of those (in 2 lots of 2 separate orders), so am expecting 6,000 bonus points eventually.

Based on these posts, and what others have ordered and received in their points balance, can anyone confirm: if I place multiple orders of >$300 each of the items listed in the Sale Items, do I get the 3000 bonus points for each individual order?

Should not be an issue if they are separate orders.
 
I am hoping that is the case and I will receive 2x3000, but the T&C are not clear one way or the other.

As written, you would tend to think that only 1 lot of bonus points, but past experience and the fact that it is more work to restrict the bonus to just once (and those types of restricted offer don't tend to require the spend to be all in one txn like this one does) makes me hopeful that multiple bonii are achievable.

Won't know until they post, and won't be too cut up about it either way. Certainly wasn't driven to the second txn just for the possible 3,000 bonus ( but the 8,000 for 4th dozen was a factor) - mostly just the wine seemed to be value for what I wanted.
 
I just had a somewhat frustrating conversation with Epiqure. They rang me to follow up on a 'where is my wine' query / request for crediting of 3000 bonus points I sent through to RedRoo earlier this month after I purchased 2 dozen bottles to the value of $420 from the cellar sale section in early June. The bloke I spoke to at Epiqure insisted that I was only entitled to the base points, that no bonus points were due to be credited to my account, and was not aware about the 3000 bonus points offer until I directed him to the advertising on the Epiqure website. He is now following up with head office to "confirm" the status. Quite frustrating, as this is the second time I've had to chase Epiqure for bonus points I've been entitled to not being credited. Took 3 weeks for the wine to arrive too :(

Bonus points usually say they take up to 6 weeks to credit, and it was a June offer... which would put the end of 6 weeks in mid-July wouldn't it?

I've found epiqure to be consistently fine for posting of bonus points, you do need to wait a while but I think they've always posted in the 6 week period for me.
 
What are people's thoughts on the current offers?

Any outstanding things to look at?
 
My wine stock is getting low so I guess it's time to log in to epiQure...

Just ordered the 6 pack Yerring Station Red + free Wolf Blass Black Label 2005 & the 6 pack Peter Lehman Stonewell Shiraz 2008.

Perfect combination between great wines & bonus points :)

Sometimes you find some strange bargains with this sort of label. Some time ago now (around 2002 I think), I found a similar label on a bottle in a restaurant attached to a hotel in Northern Scotland. For 90 Quid on the wine list, a 1990 Grange. Tehy were quite happy to sell it unopened - the auction prices at the time were twice that. Not often you find something on a restaurant wine list for way under retail price. (I don't think they really knew what they had).:)
 
Sometimes one can find good prices for aged wine in UK hotels. This Grange was a very nice price but the hotel would have paid less than the RRP when they bought it. The 1990 Grange was quite 'reasonably' priced in those days. The 1990 Grange release price in UK was £35 pb, cheaper by the case.

The 1990 was highly regarded and after it won all the awards - "The 1990 Penfolds Grange was named 'Wine of the Year' in 1995 by the world's most authoritative wine magazine, Wine Spectator, scoring 97/100 and becoming the only wine outside California and France to take the award." - the prices skyrocketed. I remember well since a friend bought a case and gave them away as Xmas presents. After the prices rose so much he wanted to go around to his 'friends' and see if he could get the bottles back. LOL.
