I'll be heading to the Sydney one. Looking forward to it! What were the wine prices like? I see on top of the wine list there is a bonus but can't read it all.

What was the Bin 389 like? I got a few of the 2012 recently... haven't tried it but will probably keep for a while. Saw that DMs had it for $49.90/bottle in any six as a one day only offer yesterday.
How was the RWT 2012?

I almost joined you boomy, but wasn't sure of my travel arrangements (or lack thereof), so didn't want to take the risk of being stuck in a different city.

Plus, I still think Penfolds is a little overrated (generally speaking).

The prices were not tempting enough to for us to buy anything. They offered ~$50 discount per case plus 1k bonus points for selected cases (the cheaper ones). I guess it's similar to what is offered on the epiQure website.

Did they refill your glass?

They didn't refill but considering we started the night with champagne before moving to sample 6 glasses of reds, the overall alcohol quantity was more then enough.
I've been to one of Henschke events at Aria restaurant earlier this year and there our glasses were refilled upon request (even the Hill of Grace ;) ).

I thought Bin 389 2012 was excellent. If I were to buy anything from the wines I tried it would be this one. The RWT 2012 was very nice but overpriced (as most RWTs are IMO).

They have one in MEL too, you can still go :) (the SYD event is sold out already)

Pity Dan Murphys is still cheaper. When I went to the Epiqure Krug dinner, the prices were significantly cheaper than anywhere else

So it is... I think that was what I was talking about. I assumed you went to the MEL one, not the BNE one.

$280 is a bit on the pricey side, although I guess you are paying for the wine as much as the food. Were you allowed seconds and thirds :p

Has anyone tried the mystery white dozen + bonus champagne?

I'm considering giving it a try... I'm assuming the champagne will be something decent. Otherwise the festive value dozen for the same price looks alright
