American Airlines are flying their flagship B777 to SYD on 13 November, ahead of the inaugural flight SYD/LAX in December.

There are less than 100 AAdvantage Executive Platinum members in Australia. It would be super cool if they all got an invite.
Was in the AA JFK Flagship lounge yesterday and the manager was very excited about the new AA flights to Australia. Apparently there is a real buzz within AA about their return to Australia.
If I remember early Sunday morning, I might ask some AA LAX staff.I wonder of they'll depart from T4 or TBIT early on ... they are already using TBIT for a few domestic flights ...
I wonder why would Qantas welcome a direct competitor? I find it hard to believe they will truly welcome that.
