I saw that on the news!! And though the same thing! Heck, when flying with QF it's hard enough to get the A/C on some times before they take off :p

I've done the 747 in Longreach, but that was in September ( Spring IIRC )

Probably cooler in Queensland this weekend.

It is I, Leclerc !

No Trains running to mascot tomorrow

anybody want to share a cab from Sydney CBD ?

Just got this email from Qantas

Hi everyone,

For those of you planning on catching the train tomorrow we have just been
advised that trains will not be operating on the Airport line and will be
replaced by buses. You may want to allow additional travelling time to get
here.

Below is some more information.

Trackwork - CityRail

Thanks

I will be driving from the inner east and am happy to pick up anyone from the CBD who needs a lift there and back.

Some years ago I was at SYD and the trains were not running on[the airport line. ISTR T he bus service was free. Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Will be interesting to see who uses the Premium Security lane heading to the J Lounge. Will fellow AFF'ers flash their WP card at the Lounge Dragons I wonder...

Also, BossRegige mentioned Land only content for the public. Are there two versions of this? One for P1 and one for the rest?

Just wanted to say :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Didn't end up in ATL this week & could've left the Sat ballet runs to Mr Katie, esp. as nothing too special required. Not sure he would have been able to stand in for my 1.5-2hr hair appointment for me ... Got to look my best for the AFF Xmas Do!

Looks like it'll be an all-nighter for me tonight! A friend's birthday celebrations have been pushed back to start at midnight tonight (instead of an 8pm dinner), so I'll head straight from there to the airport for my 5am flight to SYD... hopefully I'll get a little sleep on the way down, and my apologies if any of you see me yawning tomorrow - don't take it personally! :p

Also, depending on what's happening tomorrow, I'll try to post a few updates on Twitter (both while there and later in the weekend (with photos) when I have more time). If you'd like my Twitter handle, please PM me. :)

Had a great day meeting some AFFers and touring Hanger 96 & the A380.

Don't think it's been mentioned yet but Carrie Bickmore was on hand to greet everyone at the Qantas Campus and joined us on the tour and for lunch in the J lounge afterwards.

I don't remember the name of the gent who walked us around & through the aircraft; we were split up into 2 groups for this portion of the day, but you could tell he's fanatical about his job and he shared lots of really interesting information with us. Anyone with even a tiny amount of interested in air travel would have enjoyed the tour.

I can now somewhat legitimately claim to have had some BIS time in an A380 F cabin. The suites are really quite something. The crew rest area was also interesting to see.

A big thanks to all at QF involved in organising this event, and to BR for giving AFF the heads up. :)

Could Carrie say Qantas OK this time. She struggled with it a little while ago on The Project
