The remaining A380 flights from MEL-LAX will be replaced with the 787 from late October.

So there will be a QF First Class lounge in MEL with no QF F seats available on QF metal to anywhere from MEL

I must say this is very disappointing, but I can’t say I’m that surprised.

SYD will get Sunrise first. So there will need to be probably 9, maybe 8 planes before Sunrise flights from MEL start.

As a Plat I can only say I hope QF continues to operate an F lounge in MEL for as long as I remain a Plat.
