So yesterday I tweeted Qantas about how my seat selection hadn't been kept and an hour and a half later they had my seat changed from 4B -> 1E (J on A330 MEL->HKG) and were very helpful!

I just wanted to post this to combat all the negativity regarding Qantas support and how they are really helpful most times!

By the way I am only Bronze so I didn't expect how quickly they replied!

If only they treated all issues with the same enthusiasm. Still waiting for a call regarding bonus points.

LOL. I called them last week and they said they'll call back. Then they called me to tell me they will call back. Have not heard since.

Have to admit, I have found them rather hit and miss. I guess it depends who you talk to and what time of the day - the earlier I've called up, the better the response I've had.

It's nice to see bouquets as well as the usual QF-bashing :D
I would love to see threads like this one getting as many 'likes' and responses as QF bashing threads. Unfortunately negative views are much more popular these days.

I've found sending them a message via Facebook as a great way of making contact. They always reply quickly and have often rang me if I've left my phone number in the original message.

As a NB, it's the easiest way to get a response instead of waiting on hold for ~30 minutes for an agent.

And the couple of times I've contacted them they have resolved my issues pretty quickly. :)

Precisely !! and Facebook ?? We dinosaurs are being left behind as telephones become so old world technology because they involve actual human to human interaction, however, in relation to the phone that's still after you have waited in the queue listening to a digital voice for 30 minutes. :rolleyes:

I chose 4E and I got moved to 4B
Good to see you got such swift resolution. My wife and I flew back from London this week in First and upon check-in found that my wife had been moved from a window seat (4A) to the middle row. I discussed this with the First Host who could see that she was moved a few days earlier but with no explanation as to why. As First was full nothing could be done. We are both WP's but perhaps a higher status flyer wanted a window.

They're pretty good in that regard- actually in general! Despite all of our complaints, I think we all only complain because we know how good they are 99% of the time!

By any chance is this an issue with one of the double points promotion? Used a voucher to make a booking and didn't get any bonus.. will be calling this week.

Double points promotion from July. Still no call back.

Bouquets are meaningless if they pick and choose which issues to deal with and which to leave alone.
