Word has it that they're taking over the old UA lounge, though I'm surprised that they're even having their own lounge given that there's a Galleries lounge in T3. Maybe the Galleries lounge doesn't have an F side?

Maybe the Galleries lounge doesn't have an F side?

I *think* (thought I may have got this wrong) they will be opening the F side when/just before BA flights move there.
Currently there is no Floung at T3 Galleries and not even showers.

I'd be surprised if QF opened its own lounge too, especially when they're trying to save money.

I had assumed that BA would move at the same time but the BA website is showing BA15 flying from T4 to SIN (but BA11 on the same day is flying from T3) :(

I was there a couple of months back - it had only been open a few days. The first lounge wasn't open, from memory, and there were no showers (I popped over to CX lounge for that). But was a very nice galleries lounge, with a good breakfast selection. Far better than the lounges in T4.

... and now BA have caught up online:

That's really great news :D

Now let's just hope they will stick to that timetable...

T3 should get better i hope !
It was a Zoo a week and a half ago... and i was denied access to an empty CX Flounge :( but AA happily accepted me and made me feel very welcome. Hopefully the new Galleries First will be nice.

Given all the F flights to Asia and other places that will still and always be in T3 its a shame there is no concord room or arrivals then again i guess T3 to T5 is not a big problem to use the arrivals lounge and they have a Concord room breakfast area which is less busy etc.

My husband and I have two complimentary Qantas Club Invitations. We will be flying home on QF32 in Premium economy will we be able to use the new lounge in T3

As long as the new lounge is actually a Qantas Lounge.

I have one of these at home (am not currently there) and pretty sure it specifies "lounge operated by Qantas" or something similar. However the Joint Services Agreement seems to say (at least between LHR and SYD)everything QF is BA, and everything BA is QF, so you may have some luck.

I think I will contact Qantas and ask them about the joint services agreement. Thankyou for the heads up.

I will post my findings

I can confirm also that on my booking it now says T3 rather than T4.

Yep - same here for my QF1 BKK-LHR. Luckily I'm merely arriving at LHR T3 rather than departing from it, so I guess I'm relatively unaffected (unless this has ramifications for my transfer to my LHR-FRA flight departing from T5).

It does indicate T3-T5 being an easy transfer, so hopefully nothing bad

QF to move from T1 to T3 in London

Don't know if this has been posted before, and couldn't find it in a search.
