Oh, no, possum. Not at all.The amenity kit is by RM Williams isn't it? So that leads me to believe that Robin M. Williams had some role to play in the design of the kit.

Well, we can always match the amenity kit with an iconic rabbit fur hat and optional plaited roo leather band, which are available at RM Williams storesHow can you give out an amenity kit in honour of the late comedian Robin M. Williams and then forget such an obvious thing?

I think there could be one of two scenarios here…Curious to see when the other colours emerge? The Olive? ones are what we received at the start of the month and what others seem to be getting also.
@milehighclub - any insights?Either the kits are ‘limited edition’, in which case a new version will come out every couple of months, similar to other kits.
Or, if this is a permanent roll-out - like the kits in F - they’ll have all four eventually in the pool and you could get either one on any particular flight.
The new F kits are arguably better, being an Aesop travel packagea bit OT, but managing to get a QF F experience a couple of months back, the new J kit looks a whole lot better than the rather disappointing kit offered on our F flight (JNB-SYD).
But it's all about the labelThe new F kits are arguably better, being an Aesop travel package![]()
the one I got was a Martin Grant bag including socks, toothbrush (eco version), earplugs and eyemask which were reasonably easy to work out uses. The new F kits are arguably better, being an Aesop travel package![]()

Then there 3 small tubes of stuff from "Lagaia Unlimited", "Sodium Hyaluronate", "Amethyst" and "Lip Balm". OK, the last one was reasonably self explanatory, but the others ??.
Must be good though as labelled "exclusively for Qantas First"
The bag itself is nice enough, but too small for re-use other than for maybe a few charge cables.

Yes, I have seen passengers collect them as they exit. Not often but yes.
Hope that sticks. Interesting statement explaining the move away from kits because people leave them behind. People leave them behind because they are no longer worth keeping. My observations on the recent Qantas bags pre RM. plus, a huge number of kids in J and they don't even bother.
If a bag is not open, do passemgers collect them as they exit?
So you can always go ‘on demand’. As the article says, amenity kits are a nice souvenir for irregular flyers. And some of them come with good products!

In that article, In some airlines they've done away completely with them.So you can always go ‘on demand’. As the article says, amenity kits are a nice souvenir for irregular flyers. And some of them come with good products!
The airlines that have done away with them, citing poor demand… either the products inside weren’t any good, or they could have gone ‘on demand’.In that article, In some airlines they've done away completely with them.
John Whelan - a member here - I cannot agree that most travellers travel so much they don't want them anymore. Ask Princess Fiona! Please don't assume that your needs are the needs of others. I don't like carrying my own amenities if I can get them onboard. Much easier than rummaging through a case in the overhead bin.

But so often these days, citing 'poor demand' is yes, the product was degraded into a meaningless offering, but as is happens with confectionery, they no longer supply the product then cite poor sales. Natural consequence of course. But nothing to do with consumers. The airlines that have done away with them, citing poor demand… either the products inside weren’t any good, or they could have gone ‘in demand’.
QF’s Payot and SK-II kits were really good. I don’t think many people were leaving those behind!
