Qantas Red Planet

There are no incorrect answers...except yours.

No invite for me. $60/hour is most definitely worth my time...

Was curious, so signed up when the email arrived yesterday (only PS here), but no surveys for me.

Over-represented demographic? Industry of "other" confused it? Who knows.

Caveat Emptor guys... I just did the first 2 surveys and it turns out that in the case of these two that "up to 300 points per survey" ended up as ZERO .
After completing the surveys, I logged back in to my account and it listed both surveys as complete and points earned on each to be zero.
But I think I got 2 entries in a lottery that I won't win (yay).

I only had a quick look when I got the email yesterday, but...
Doesn't it say 300 points per survey from August onwards? Which implies none until then, but an entry in the competition.

The two surveys still took a reasonable amount of time (and gave a significant degree of information) for a prize draw alone in my opinion. You can't know this until you start and are somewhat sucked in.

The calculations of value are optimistic. Up to 300 points will mean exactly that with many of them offering fewer. 5c/pt is very generous for QF points. If you made minimum wage I'd be surprised

I do e-rewards and am under no illusions that it does not work as an economic proposition but is a way of using some free time and gaining a few points along the way

5c per point assumes you can find a long haul redemption in First, given they are so easy to come by. Even then, the rate is still less that what you would get paid for one of the in-person market research panels which are often run.

I prefer to spend my free time on other things (like how to make real money) rather than handing over my personal shopping details to Qantas Loyalty or e-rewards Inc.

Replying to myself but it might help others - turns out there was a follow up email containing a survey that got tagged as spam (not surprisingly, it does look a little spammy).

I haven't received an invite nor have any of the family members. I checked our profiles and we've all opted in for Market Research. I'm not sure whether this option in the Qantas profile will have any impact on how they choose members. I hope we get invitations. 300 points per survey once they start paying points will actually be useful for us.

The first 2 surveys were long. I value my time better.

I'm a member of a couple of online survey sites. Some surveys are guaranteed points and others are prize draw only. I have to choose my time very carefully as to when I do the surveys but I can usually make enough to redeem points from these schemes a couple of times a year. If I wasn't doing the surveys I would just be reading other stuff on the web and not making any money out of it.

we got only the 1 invite and i'm looking forward to winning a lot of points:)

No invite for me either :(

Tried the link given earlier but it told me there was an error and invites were unique to each member. I have emailed to be put on the wait list.

Like others here, I also belong to several other survey panels, so manage to accumulate a few dollars every year to supplement my travel fund. I only do surveys with defined rewards. Don't waste any time on prize draws etc. That's a fool's game. If they ain't paying real money or gift cards, I pass. That said, I do spend a bit of time on them, but I am retired, and have the time. I'm struggling to find ways to generate income to travel, so every little helps.

Whether this latest QF scam flies or not remains to be seen. Getting a sense quite a few people don't see much value in it at this point in time.

I've got the invite, my daughter (17) also got it. Not sure those who miss out have missed that much.
