Sorry to be serious but a 787 delay announcement would have to be a fair chance.

There has been a lot of courtship behavior lately. The receptions in most capitals over the past month & looking ahead, plus the EK inaugural, plus the uniform launch, plus the gala in the SYD hangar. How many things over a 6 week period? Anyone kept count?? And now a big press conference. Will see what is revealed..

I will be enjoying the A380 service to LHR on Monday, so may miss some of the action. :)

Haven't heard anything at all from my area. I wonder what it will be. My guess something to do with A/C or routes.

Phasing all international flights to Jetstar.

Hang on, that is already happening....

Who thinks it may be to do with the 787 options for QF mainline - converting the options to firm orders? They can have these coming on line from 2016, under the deal with Boeing. How many will they get? (This would be on top of the ones already committed to JQ).

More likely a fix to the QF8 issue by changing the aircraft type and more orders for a 744 replacement, taking some of those 777s that are for unidentified customers on Boeings book.

I would not be surprised if its West Coast NZ services, especially since NZ upped the ante last week, the other option is the announcement that JQ won't be getting 787s and these will be used for Asian routes now that certainty is back into delivery dates, the first VH bird is on the line.
