Qantas Group Reducing services by effectively grounding 18 Aircraft due to Coronavirus

I have read the article from the QF newsroom from the OP. Has got me a bit worried.

Reason is that I am flying QF145 SYD-AKL in J this Thursday (27th) and I specifically chose to fly ex Sydney due to NOT wanting to travel J in a 737. Furthermore, I am returning on QF144 on Sunday 1 March, which is supposed to be a dreamliner service. Very much looking forward to this as I havent experienced the 789 J product yet.

Does anybody have any knowledge regarding the trans tasman flights? IE which will be affected?

Cheers!

The release omits whether travellers can claim a refund if (say for QFi) an imposed date change doesn't suit. This is poor: QF should offer a refund if it can't deliver, even though officially it says 'flight times do not form a part of the contract.'
I'd be surprised if they didn't offer a full refund.

MH just cancelled some flights that would have forced me to overnight in CGK. No suitable alternative flights available. Offered free one time change of +- 7 days which was also unsuitable and then offered full refund which I took.

I took a refund of my return portion to Shanghai as the re-route fare difference to Singapore was $400. I grabbed a $80 fare on Air Asia instead.

Qantas was not in the least bit helpful in all of this. 3 hours start to finish on chat.
