What was the "purpose" of the evening?

I am thinking it is public relations exercise and to re-assure everyone that Qantas is moving forward.

So how was it JeffVader? I hope you had an enjoyable evening.

What a good night! Arrived on red carpet. Tattinger on arrival. Neil Perry cuisine. Shined up 388. 980 guests. JohnT.,Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano, Ronan Keeting, Karl Stefanovic, William Mcguinness et al. Really nice venue within Hangar 96. Entertainment consisted of QF history monologue William Mcguinness, Abseiling dancers on big screen, indigenous didgeridoo welcome, 3 Tina Arena numbers etc.

The didgeridoo player is a member of the FFA Facebook page, so there is a connection - not sure of his screen name here and for obvious reasons I don't want to mention his real name here

I got mine at work this morning - brilliant marketing, brilliant packaging and really great. It will sit on my desk making everyone who comes through envious - all of my staff "had to come and look" - I have used the word brilliant twice but after being in marketing for 45 years this has to be one of the best "promotions" I have ever seen and experienced. I wish that I had thought of it. Well done staff at QANTAS and well done QANTAS. It makes me quite proud to be P1.
