Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

Still on my hunt for best Singaporean Chicken rice. No new contenders this trip.
The conga line at Tian Tian was as long as ever the other day. I just went to the place two stalls down - which still had a pretty big line.

If I’m on a QF flight to BNE and have a friend on an EK ticket to DXB am I able to guest them into the F lounge with me?

That would be correct.

To, be clear, with QF/EK guesting the guest must be travelling with the host (i.e. Same flight). This differs from oneworld based guesting.

Is the same day thing adhered to pretty strictly? i.e. I wouldn't be allowed in after arriving on QF35 and departing on OW flight the following morning.

There are naunces to your question that need clarification.

Is your next oneworld flight before 6am?

Is you next onworld flight of five hours or less?

What oneworld status do you have?

What are the travel classes of each of your flights?

Onward flight is JL712 at 8:15am. 6hrs 45min duration.

I am QFF platinum but both flights are in economy.

Highly unlikely in this scenario. Also unless you got QF35 and QF37 mixed up you'll be in SIN for over 12h as it arrives around 5-6pm usually.

Unfortunately an 8am flight is very much a "next day" for the purposes of this. Usually its anywhere from 27:00/28:00 (2-3am the next day) that they kind of draw the line.

If you don't want to find a hotel for the night, I'm sure there are places to stay and entertain yourself in ans around Changi and jewel.

In the morning QF F is not open so you'll just have access to Marhaba (JL's lounge) and QF J for a bit depending on exactly when they open.

Yes it is.

I recently arrived in SIN at about 10:00pm on QF37 as a WP in J and connecting to an MH flight at 6am on the same ticket. Denied access.

So not even permitted transit access. (Acknowledging I’d had to leave when it closed at midnight or whenever anyway - I had a 6 hour transit hotel booked and just wanted to kill a hour or so until my booking)

So you have QF35 MEL-SIN arriving 1715 connecting to JL712 SIN-NRT departing 0815.
You'll have lounge access based on status, but the QF lounges close soon after the last QF departure.
They would let you in to the F lounge if you were on JL36 or JL38 (SIN-HND flights), but even on JL38 (2am departure), you'd have to change lounges when the F lounge closes around 11pm.

I've gotten overnight access to a SIN oneworld lounge before, but that was when QF had a morning flight to PER and the old CX lounge in T1 was open all day.
The QF J lounge has longer hours (until 1am and mornings some days). Highly unlikely that they'll let you into the QF F lounge prior to JL712. It is possible they might let you use the J lounge, while it's open, but you'll likely end up being sent to the Marhaba lounge.

Bummer. F lounge, even for a few hours, would take the sting out of the long layover (self-inflicted, to save $$$$).

Would I be likely to get in if I used points to get a cheap MH award to KUL departing late evening on day of arrival? And simply no-showing for that flight.

Seems very cheeky, and not without cost. Perhaps I bite the bullet and get a transit hotel!

I was in SIN last week. There are signs everywhere saying it is an offence to enter the airport with no intention of flying. A couple of celebrated cases recently have shut that down as an option as they do monitor it.
