Seems Qantas new first class on the A380 is getting a write up in the English press. These pictures do us aussies proud

Fairly sure that's not a QF plane! Certainly doesn't look like any in-flight lounge I've ever seen on QF.

Would be nice if Qantas went that way but it would cut down the number of F seats quite a bit!

Interesting comment from a US based person "expect the seats will be filled with free upgrades" - certainly reflects the difference in approach to premium cabins..

Confession time: I read it at my in-laws when visiting the UK. It's usually a 2 day old copy whenever I visit
I always have a chuckle reading about the latest dole bludgers.

Chapter 11 is more to do with high-cost structures, and AA being the only legacy carrier not to have restructured.

US domestic upgrades is a separate issue, and not confined to AA.

I do remember working in the US pre and post 9/11, and several of my colleagues were retrenched AA and UA pursers and FAs..... They all made the same comment to me at the time...... That "when it comes to domestic First Class - no-one, no-one pays for it"
