Calculator & points/SC display on bookings is back up, same points/SC as per current rate when you search for dates in 2020. So maybe that's all the 'enhancements' for now, until that one unsuspecting afternoon sometime in the future.

‘Bringing you closer to your next dream trip’ appears to be the new ‘Simpler and Fairer’ (from the QF fact sheet)

Hmm. Are the oneworld awards changing, or not?
From Ausbt:
Popular Oneworld Classic Flight Rewards, which are typically used to book around-the-world journeys with Qantas and its Oneworld partner airlines, will also increase. In first class, the cost will rise from 420,000 to 455,000 Qantas Points, and in business class, from 280,000 to 318,000 Qantas Points.

Dare I mention the one thing that hasn't been mentioned?

Soft Landings?

Just wandering
Fred

Calculator probably taken down temporarily just to add routes on new partner airlines e.g. NZ, CI, AF, etc

He who dares wins @wandering_fred . But I'm not sue it would be positive news. The use of "current and last 2 years" average is, IMHO, fair. They won't want to juggle too much - it ain't broke, so no need to fix it.

There's a new hidden feature in the changes that no one has mentioned yet. Not all premium cabin redemptions are going up...

From 18/09, due to the alignment of the partner award table and oneworld award table, partner awards now essentially work a bit like SQ redemptions where you get up to 5 free stopovers if you book a return award.

Example:

Say you are doing a SYD CX HKG CX TPE and TPE JL NRT JL SYD award. Currently that would cost you 78k + 92k points if you don't stop enroute for a total of 170k points.

Say you add a stopover at NRT enroute back to SYD, this would mean your cost would be 78k + 38k + 78k for a total of 194k.

However from 18/09, doing the above routing SYD CX HKG CX TPE stop TPE JL NRT stop NRT JL SYD will only cost you 180k. You could even stopover at HKG as well and it would still only be 180k.

Do you know if it is effective immediately or can I sneak a booking in the next couple of months

I'm half way to LTP with no carrot at all to try to get to it. My'loyalty' will remain divided.
Hopefully they continue the carrots being regular DSC offers...but mine will remain like yours. Not enough to woo me back from earning non-lifetime SC's from VA, where with Family Pooling I can retain Gold comfortably and throw the rest (judiciously using DSC offers) to end up at TLG. Then I'll have to re-consider my crediting strategy.
