I was booked in J on Qatar from Adelaide to Rome via Doha.
The flight was cancelled and Qatar re booked me on China Southern in J.via Guangzou to Rome.
Qatar had my Qantas F/F nos. but as China Southern do seem to be a partner in any way with Qantas am I going to get the points etc. and if not what can I do as I paid Qatar for the flights and they chose to re book me on a non partner airline.
This only happened a couple of weeks ago and I realise it takes time to get the points added even if using Qatar but am a bit anxious.

You should be able to claim original routing credit with QF for the QR flights due to the involuntary re-route.

It may be worth signing up with CZ's freq flyer program to claim points retroactively for the CZ flights you took so in effect giving you two bites of the cherry.

You generally can only credit the CZ flights to another Skyteam member if you were already enrolled in that program at the time you undertook the flights.

Thanks Opusman and Ozbeachbabe for your replies.
I will do as you suggest but don't think I will try the double claim.
