As a counterpoint, VA have no services of their own to SIN from PER, which you'd think is a no-brainer if QF appear to be on the ropes, especially with the rest of the PER strategy. That said, I suppose we should be expecting that to happen very soon. Either that or they're just (in a capital-lite manner) piggy backing off the SQ services - with that kind of approach, definitely gives SQ an excellent business case to put on more services!
You get 34" of legroom in Y on EK though, so I guess as long as you're not horizontally challenged then that's fine. FWIW my sister flew EK Y on her last trip to Europe, and she seemed alright with it (she is quite fit and not fat like myself).
FWIW NZ also have 10 across on their newest 77Ws, admittedly though they also made the aisles narrower and offered Skycouches. Seems like they're doing fine so far (and, for that matter, EK Y is doing fine for a long time now).
