Well it's been almost a month and nothing has changed![]()
Not many people can afford F seats with cashI gave up and just paid for EK flights.
And switched the company credit cards away from those tied to QF.
I wasn't buying F. Sorry, this thread was about various classes. Or so I thought. Not many people can afford F seats with cash![]()
There’s probably a correlation though between those who can afford to pay for F seats with cash and those who can generate the significant number of QFF points to make F redemptions and pay the large surcharges that come with them. Not many people can afford F seats with cash![]()
flight from AMS - DXB in F & DXB - KUL in J@iamsuperandrew if you hover or click on the i icon on the F flight does it say one or the legs will be in J or Y. You normally see the i icon when when one of the sectors is not in F but you pay F rates for the entire flight.
There’s something definitely going wrong with the various search methods. So it looks like some routes from Australia to North America in EK F are available again through the regular booking engine BUT they now seem to price each leg separately.
So where I'd paid 227.5K points (and a heap of cash) before 5 August for SYD-DXB-SEA, it now costs 390.8K points (and a heap of cash) being 195.4Kx2.
The flights are still not showing up on the multi-city booking engine, mind you...
I think this error is displayed whenever there is absolutly no award in any class available for your research in MCThere’s something definitely going wrong with the various search methods.
I’m getting fundamental broken website errors…
HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request
If I try and search Aug 2026 using the MC search….
For your SYD-DXB-SEA, you may have to call to get it point priced correctly. I think I saw a similar issue with a BA booking on the website, but on the call it was priced correctly, mind you I may have beed confused by the old vs new chart. So it looks like some routes from Australia to North America in EK F are available again through the regular booking engine BUT they now seem to price each leg separately.

No, you get a “Bugga off” there’s no award seat error. eg try searching for ANY MU award seat.I think this error is displayed whenever there is absolutly no award in any class available for your research in MC
ah ok. I definitly got this error on some other (non EK) route that I was looking at recently, and after a while, I concluded that this error was thrown when nothing was available. No, you get a “Bugga off” there’s no award seat error. eg try searching for ANY MU award seat.
I was specifically searching SYD-DXB and get that 400 error.
That wouldn’t surprise me. As they try and bring the two search engines closer together they break bits.ah ok. I definitly got this error on some other (non EK) route that I was looking at recently, and after a while, I concluded that this error was thrown when nothing was available.
Except there are some F seats bookable. My conclusion is that QF is withholding flights from QFF's - the question is why?
Yes there are some available but why only some? That wouldn’t surprise me. As they try and bring the two search engines closer together they break bits.

Also which routes are now available? That wouldn’t surprise me. As they try and bring the two search engines closer together they break bits.
