Qantas double status credits OR double points offer [book 23-28 March 2023]

I've listed a few status run ideas here:

The best I could find so far was OOL-MEL-AKL return in J for $1,674 return. Earns 560 SC at $2.99/SC.

Sadly about 60% more than last years best deals.

Although considering so many people still only have to get 600SCs to requalify, its a pretty cheap WP extension in (almost) one trip.

QF metal flights on a QF flight number booked during the promo period will get DSC.
U fortunately, getting QF codes on AY ticket is a lot harder now. Booking direct invariably produces AY codeshares.

I imagine a TA can do it?

And get ready for the "Kia ora" sale starting on 29th March.

It’s says in the T&Cs the bonus is credited from 8 weeks after travel. Based on people’s experience, is this the case?

I have Qantas TravelPass money which earns DSC when spent, I don't suppose this DSC offer would stack on top of that, earning me x4 status credits?

Absolute maximum, and I think this is copy & pasted from the days you could use codeshares on other oneworld airlines.

It normally credits within 72 hours from memory.

Hi - Can someone provide advice on how it works when cancelling and rebooking existing bookings to get the DSCs that QF just released today? Do I have to cancel with a refund and pay the cancellation fee, then rebook and get the DSCs? Or can I use the voucher? Or is it not allowed at all? Thank you

Not the best one against that list but it would be up there…

Found BNE-CNS-SYD-NOU one way on some dates. 180 SCs doubled to 360 SCs. $1,463 making it $4.06 per SC. Requires a SYD overnight but could be valuable to someone who would prefer to go to NOU instead of NZ.

Per the T&Cs of the TravelPass, this does not stack.

I don't know of any data points of anyone actually trying this though, so I'm unsure if this is actually enforced by Qantas IT.

You may wish to check the conditions carefully, but it's possible that DSC TravelPass + the Double Qantas Points option of this deal may be allowed, thereby getting you Double SC and Double QP on one booking.

I will need to do a SC run earning 326 SCs ex Syd by 31 October to maintain Platinum
Any cheap suggestions26

nice try but almost certainly not. Only one bonus offer will apply to a booking and the T&C are pretty explicit on this (bolding is mine):

Only one double Qantas Points and double Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. Double Qantas Points and/or double Status Credits may be earned on multiple eligible flight bookings made during the promotion period. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Points or Status Credits offers offered by Qantas.

Booked J Sale and J Saver BNE-CHC-MEL-BNE for 450SC. $1619.

I had a $505 credit that had to be booked and flown by end of this year that would have got me not much more than zip.

You need to create a new PNR within the booking period to be eligible. If you have an existing booking for a route & date you want DSCs on, you have to cancel that and re-book afresh; you can't just 'modify' it. If you booked it within 24 hrs, you can cancel without penalty, otherwise its subject to the cancellation rules of the fare you bought and wish to cancel.

Not sure what you mean by 'the voucher'. If you get a credit through your cancellation, and if its there in your account when you go to re-book, I believe you can use it.

Personally, I think its a really bad idea to cancel (with penalty) and re-book just to get DSCs.

Hi team

Exciting news on latest DSC, though I would recommend against using a flight credit for any bookings. I'm still chasing my DSC from the "thanks a million" promotion last March.

The booking reference for the credit is carried forward to the booking you make today. Trouble is, Qantas systems will not recognise the actual booking date, but rather the issue date of your flight credit... I've been making regular calls to Qantas to fix the problem since late January.

Just pay on card and save yourself the trouble!

That’s explains the issue I’m having chasing DSCs for a flight to CNS over new year. It was booked last year in the thanks a million using a credit. Flight to MEL booked in the same hour on ccard and DSC landed straight after flights.

I did a QF - AY trip in February booked through a TA. Had to chase up the status credits but eventually received them.
