Let me have a look at that, that should net (38+18+18) x 2 = 148 right? Then I can just economy back...

I was surprised that PER-LHR direct was only worth 96 SC

Calculated wrong... SYD to CBR looks like economy so its 126 OW

You need to create a new PNR within the booking period to be eligible. If you have an existing booking for a route & date you want DSCs on, you have to cancel that and re-book afresh; you can't just 'modify' it. If you booked it within 24 hrs, you can cancel without penalty, otherwise its subject to the cancellation rules of the fare you bought and wish to cancel.

Not sure what you mean by 'the voucher'. If you get a credit through your cancellation, and if its there in your account when you go to re-book, I believe you can use it.

Personally, I think it’s a really bad idea to cancel (with penalty) and re-book just to get DSCs.
Thanks so much for your advice. I’m only 122 SCs from Platinum and if I cancel and rebook my upcoming J class trip then I will qualify. The ticket price is only a few hundred more than what I paid for so to me it’s worth it. By voucher I meant if I cancel and ask for a voucher instead of a refund then can I use the voucher as part payment. But perhaps it’s better just to leave the voucher and pay the full amount and use the voucher another time? Thanks again

Do you need a total of 122, or 122 doubled (244)?

If the former, might be cheaper to find another status run - what city are you in?

Definitely worth going for platinum though.

Is anyone getting the points? Have P1 for another year and won't be requalifying. Soft land to WP the following year.
LTP is very unlikely.

I'm thinking there would be no use for DSC, unless there are factors I'm not considering?

Just a total of 122, and I’m in Melbourne. Yeah ageee that perhaps I should just do a status run. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey all!
I've been waiting a while for this too (as have clearly a lot of people!) - today I booked PER-MEL return in business through Amex to use up the travel credit for the year. Fare class is I - am trying to work out how many SC I will earn from that as while the booking has appeared on my profile it doesnt state what I will earn from it unlike other bookings.

Cheers

For Domestic, I is "Business". Since the flight is >1500mi, you'll earn 80SC each way, for a total of 320 SCs including DSC. You'll also earn 3,300 Qantas Points each way, plus however much status bonus you get.

LTP is a stretch goal for me.
Don’t need the SC for P1 but anything towards that stretch goal is probably worth it to me.
I have a long haul in a couple of months that I will probably book now.

If you aren’t considering LTP then no probably not worth it.

Thanks - appreciate it,
Knew "J" would get me that but "I" threw me out there!

Naturally I have already booked my November Round-the-World flight! In any case, I have already requalified WP with a February anniversary date and this promotion wouldn't make any difference to that. I probably would have reached P1 though, but them's the breaks!

Trying to register for DSC and have done so for Mrs R and child. When I register for myself I get a error message. Anyone getting the below message when they register. Do i need to contact QFF?

Yup - same issue. Seems to only be an issue when i register as rest of family had no issues.

Via web site (haven't received any emails about this) and already logged in. Maybe the registration facility is down at present. Have tried on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Tried other browsers as well.
Interestingly I tried to register myself first before the family and got the error. Then tried again after l registered family and still got the message for me. So it maybe specific to the QFF member.
I have emailed QFF... hopefully they respond...

I registered my whole family on my iPhone this morning and cleared the history between every registration.
